Before you start
You must create the trigger program add it to the decision tree for the related trigger.
You must have created your Trigger SmartBlock.
Trigger SmartBlocks can currently only be used when Dotdigital Marketing is your messaging provider.
Add a Trigger SmartBlock to a trigger program
In Personalization, go to Automation > Triggers in the left side menu.
Select the Trigger Programs tab.
Select the trigger program you want to add a Trigger SmartBlock to.
For each Send stage in the trigger program, expand the Trigger SmartBlock drop-down menu, and select the Trigger SmartBlock you want to assign to that stage.
If you have access to the Triggered SMS module, you can select an SMS channel and an SMS Trigger SmartBlock.
Select a Trigger SmartBlock for every send stage in the program and select Save.
Set tracking parameters
While you can set default tracking parameters for each Trigger SmartBlock, you can also specify tracking parameters for each sending stage of a trigger program. Any tracking parameters set at the trigger program level override those set on the Trigger SmartBlock itself.
To do this, once you’ve selected your Trigger content:
Under Tracking parameters, select Create tracking parameter.
Enter a name and value.
For example,Name = utm_campaign Value = ACTrigger1.Select Create.
From here, you can also edit or delete a tracking parameter from the sending stage.
If you don’t set tracking parameters at the trigger program level, then the default parameters added to the Trigger SmartBlock itself are used.
