SmartBlock agent lets you create and edit SmartBlocks by describing what you want in plain language, instead of configuring design elements manually. You can create new SmartBlocks, refresh existing ones, and refine the result through follow-up prompts.
You can open SmartBlock agent from your SmartBlocks in Personalization.
To generate designs, the agent uses:
your account details
your existing SmartBlocks
your brand details, such as colors and fonts
your brand voice, if you also use Dotdigital Marketing

Before you start
SmartBlock agent is available for all web SmartBlocks except social SmartBlocks, such as Instagram and Pinterest, and Web crop SmartBlocks.
Weather, location, and customer history personalization only work if they’re enabled for your account.
Agents store the information you enter during conversations so we can improve and enhance their performance over time.

What you can do with SmartBlock agent
Create new SmartBlocks from a description of what you want.
Edit existing SmartBlocks, including ones you didn't create with the agent.
Design the layout, styling, copy, links, and calls to action of your SmartBlock.
Configure responsive design, so your SmartBlock works across screen sizes.
Personalize content with merge codes, using:
customer details, such as name and email, when the visitor is identified
product data, such as the current product, prices, categories, variants, stock, and recommendations
device, such as mobile or desktop
location, such as country, city, time zone, and nearest store
weather, such as current conditions and forecasts
Slot parameters, such as language, currency, and category
Show different headlines, messages, images, or sections depending on whether data exists or matches a condition.
Add fallbacks, so content still displays correctly when visitor data is missing.
Keep designs on-brand with your brand details and, if you also use Dotdigital Marketing, your [brand voice].
Upload images to the chat, for the agent to use in your design or as a style reference. For example, Make it look like this.
What SmartBlock agent doesn't do
Generate custom images.
Instead, upload your own images to the chat, or add them in the SmartBlock editor.
Access URLs.
You can’t give the agent a link to base styles or designs on. Instead, upload a screenshot to the chat as a reference.
Control where and when SmartBlocks appear.
You manage these settings yourself:Slot rules and placement
targeting and audience segments
trigger conditions
scheduling and timing
other delivery settings
Work across products.
SmartBlock agent works in Personalization only.
Content agent in Dotdigital Marketing can't edit SmartBlocks.
Generate custom images.
Create or edit email SmartBlocks.
