Use the Dotdigital Tag with Adobe Commerce for Personalization

Set up your Adobe Commerce store to use Dotdigital Marketing and Personalization together with shared tracking.

Before you start

You must have:

Magento Open Source

The Dotdigital Personalization and Marketing extensions are also compatible with stores built in Magento 2 Open Source.

How it works

  • The Dotdigital Marketing Adobe Commerce extension tracks behavioral data on your site using the Dotdigital Tag. This data is automatically shared with Personalization.

  • The Dotdigital Personalization Adobe Commerce extension passes product, cart, and purchase data to your Personalization account. Cart and purchase data joins with behavioral data to give a full picture of a visitor’s session.

  • You don’t need to install a separate Personalization tracking script. All tracking data for both Dotdigital Marketing and Personalization is handled by the Dotdigital Tag.

Set up the integration

To complete the set up, you must:

  1. Ensure that Personalization is enabled on the Dotdigital Tag in your Dotdigital Marketing account.

  2. Configure Dotdigital Personalization to use the Dotdigital Tag.

  3. Enable the Dotdigital Marketing and Personalization extensions in Adobe Commerce.

  4. Complete the connection process in Dotdigital Personalization.
